Licensing

CWR Mobile CRM

Our goal is to make licensing CWR Mobile CRM as easy and familiar as using Dynamics CRM.  To that end, we have introduced a licensing model that is simple, yet has the flexibility to meet the unique needs of your organization.

Product Editions

   Professional Edition

The Professional Edition offers customers the complete flexibility to take advantage of all of the power and flexibility of CWR mobile application platform.  Like the Standard Edition, the Professional  Edition entitles customers to use either the Express user experience or native offline smart client versions of CWR Mobile CRM.  Additionally, customers can configure CWR Mobile CRM once, yet deploy CWR smart clients across any combination of mobile platforms, including iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Android (phone and tablet) and Palm simultaneously!  The Professional Edition is also fully multi-tenant, so there is no limit to the number of CRM organizations you can support from a single CWR Mobile CRM deployment.  The Professional Edition will meet the most exacting needs of any organization.

   Standard Edition

The Standard Edition offers customers both the CWR Mobile CRM Express user experience as well as one of the native offline smart clients for iPhone/iPad, BlackBerry or Windows Phone.  Customers who need everytime, everywhere, access to their Dynamics CRM system and are on a common mobile device platform can choose the Standard Edition so that they can benefit from the speed and performance of a native application while having all of their data local – so they can access it when out of cell range, in an office building, underground parking garage or even on an airplane.  And when they get back into their coverage area all of the data synchronizes in the background.  The Standard Edition supports a maximum of 25 licenses, a single CRM instance and a single mobile platform, and provides a great entry level solution for companies with those needs.

   Express Edition

The Express Edition is a web browser-based online user experience version of CWR Mobile CRM.  This is designed for customers who might have been using Microsoft Mobile Express, but need more than the basic “occasional access to common CRM tasks;” they need some additional capabilities to create activities, convert appointments and leads, close opportunities and cases, etc.  The Express Edition offers the ease and convenience of a web app, but as a customized user experience on each mobile platform, with all the power of Dynamics CRM.  The Express Edition runs on all HTML 4-enabled browsers, including:  iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Android (phone and tablet) and Palm mobile devices.

   Online Edition

CWR Mobile CRM also comes in an Online Edition to support Microsoft’s Dynamics CRM Online offering. The CWR Mobile CRM Online Edition is derived from the Professional Edition above and offers customers the complete flexibility to take advantage of all of the power and flexibility of CWR mobile application platform. Like the Professional Edition, the Online Edition entitles customers to use either the Express user experience or native offline smart client versions of CWR Mobile CRM. Additionally, customers can configure CWR Mobile CRM once, yet deploy CWR smart clients across any combination of mobile platforms, including iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Android (phone and tablet) and Palm simultaneously! CWR Mobile CRM Online Edition enables Dynamics CRM Online customers to benefit from the power and flexibility of CWR Mobile CRM.

With the launch of CWR Mobile CRM 2011, we have introduced a new “user-based” licensing model to complement our existing “device-based” model.  In the past, mobile professionals only had one mobile device – the mobile phone.  However, due to the rampant success of the iPad and its rapid adoption by corporate departments, customers asked us if they there was an easier way for them to license multiple devices for the same user – and we responded.  You can now choose to license either on a device basis or on a user basis.

License Options

   Device License

Device-based licensing is the traditional model for mobile computing.  You determine the number of devices you need to connect to your Dynamics CRM instance and you license that number of devices.  Please note that this does not need to be the same number as your total CRM users.  Unlike some other companies, CWR only requires that you license the number of devices you actually want to connect to your CRM system – not the total number of CRM users.  And if you have a few mobile professionals that want multiple devices, just add a few licenses for their second devices.

   User License

User-based licensing is becoming increasingly common as our customers provide both phones and tablets to their mobile professionals.  In the user-based model, each user is entitled to use up to 3 separate devices, simultaneously.  And, unlike some other companies, who disable your first device as soon as you connect a second device, CWR Mobile CRM is designed so that your users can access all devices simultaneously.  Pull up your client account on your mobile phone and click for driving directions, then use your tablet during the customer meeting to show some sales literature, and then update the opportunity on your phone afterwards in the elevator.  The user-based licensing model is a cost effective way for your teams to leverage the power of multiple of Dynamics CRM across mobile devices, simultaneously.

CWR Exchange Connector

While CWR Mobile CRM is our flagship product, CWR Mobility also offers a power solution to help customers synchronize their Dynamics CRM data with Microsoft Exchange – the CWR Exchange Connector.  The CWR Exchange Connector eliminates the need for client-based (Outlook) synchronization, and provides bi-directional synchronization of appointment and task data between the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server and the Exchange server.  When mobile professionals are on the road, they no longer have to open their laptops to synchronize their mobile devices and update their appointments and tasks.  Any CRM changes made by inside sales, operations or by workflows are automatically forwarded to Exchange and then on to each mobile users device.

The CWR Exchange Connector is licensed as a separate server component, and there are no additional fees for Standard or Professional Edition users.  Customers using the Express Edition or -- not using CWR Mobile CRM at all -- can also take advantage of the Exchange Connector for an additional fee.
